What changes when you’re not building alone

What changes when you’re not building alone

Funnel friend,

There’s a version of business growth people talk about loudly. Metrics. Milestones. Strategy shifts. Big moves.

And then there’s the quieter part that almost never gets named.

The part where someone is simply not alone while they build.

I’ve seen this up close more times than I can count, and it never looks dramatic from the outside. There’s no big reveal moment. No overnight transformation. What changes is subtler than that, and way more powerful.

The work starts to feel steadier.

Decisions stop ricocheting around in someone’s head for days. Emails get written once instead of rewritten five times. Launches feel calmer because there’s someone else watching the whole board, not just one square at a time.

It’s not about being told what to do. It’s about having someone in the room while you decide.

This is why I love mentoring so much.

Some of my favourite work has happened in the in-between moments. Voice notes during launches. Quick check-ins when numbers come in. Talking through something that feels off before it becomes a full spiral.

Nothing fancy. Just real proximity.

Every time I’m in someone’s pocket while they’re building, the work changes. Not because they suddenly become a different person, but because they don’t have to hold everything by themselves anymore.

They trust their judgment faster.
They move without that low-grade tension humming underneath everything.
They stop treating every decision like it has to be perfect.

That’s the part I care about most.

This year, I wanted to make more room for that kind of support. Not done-for-you. Not DIY “here’s a framework, good luck.” Something that sits right in the middle for people who are past DIY, want a say in their business, and are ready for backup that actually shows up.

So I’m opening a small, ongoing mentorship called WTFunnel?!?

It’s built around access. Real-time perspective. Space to talk things through while they’re happening, not after the fact. A place where you don’t have to pretend you’ve got it all figured out before asking a question.

But what do you get?

  • 2 hot seat calls a month, where we jam out on what's going on in real time
  • 2 funnel submissions (send me copy, send me data, send your lead magnet...) so I can take a close look at a specific piece of the puzzle
  • Co-working hours
  • Guest experts
  • Plus a host of strategy and copy templates when you need them

I’m starting with just 10 people at $297/month, intentionally slow, so I can support this properly while I test and shape what it’s becoming.

Doors won’t open for another two weeks, but the waitlist is open now for anyone who wants to be first to know.

If the idea of not doing this alone feels like a relief rather than a weakness, you can add your name here:

I can't wait to get all up in your business!

Funnel friend, There’s a stage of business that sneaks up on you. It’s the post-DIY, pre-hand-it-all-over stage. The one where you’ve proven you can build something real…but you feel like maybe you've hit a plateau. Nothing is technically “broken.”But nothing feels easy anymore, either. Early on, hustle does most of the heavy lifting. You try things. You learn fast. You move. But once your business is more complex, hustle stops being the lever. A second brain becomes the lever. Because this is...

The Year of Slow Exposure Last year, my word of the year was 'Ease'. And I don’t mean 'ease' in a Pinterest-y, bubble bath, “romanticize your life” kind of way. I mean 'ease' as a filter. A rule. A boundary I desperately needed. Every decision ran through the same question. What’s the easiest choice? What apartment should we live in in Playa? What school should our son go to?Do we do the extracurricular or not?Where do we eat tonight? What shoes am I wearing today? Not what’s the best...

Stop white-knuckling your way to your next revenue goal Funnel friend, can we have a quick, loving intervention? I keep watching smart, capable biz owners white-knuckle their way to the next revenue goal like it’s some kind of rite of passage. Your teeth clenched. Shoulders up around your ears. Whispering, “I can figure this out” at your laptop like it’s going to magically start cooperating just cuz. Sound familiar? You built this thing yourself. You’re not new to this. You’ve already proven...
