I once fired the loveliest client

I once fired the loveliest client

I had a client once who was probably the loveliest client on the face of the planet.

Her work was relevant. She had a tonne of followers. She was really forking good at what she did, and I genuinely enjoyed every conversation we had.

At the end of our three-month contract, we mutually decided to part ways.

Because every time we met, she had a new idea.

A new offer. A new low-ticket product. A new strategy she had read about online. Someone she followed said she should do this. An article she read said she should try that. So we would pivot, build the newest thing, put it out into the world, and wait.

When it didn’t sell as much as she wanted, as quickly as she wanted, she was ready to rethink the whole thing.

And I kept saying the same thing:

We haven’t let enough people move through this yet.

We don’t have enough data to make that decision.

Every new idea interrupted the last one before it had a fair chance to work. We kept rebuilding the starting line instead of giving anyone enough time to reach the finish.

She wanted fast, quick, and easy. I wanted to take one solid core offer and build a proper funnel around it. Then we could add the freebie that led to it. The tripwire. The upsell. The downsells. The emails. All the different paths that ultimately pointed people toward the same place.

We fundamentally disagreed about how a business should be built.

Neither of us was wrong. We were simply a terrible fit.

And that experience taught me something important:

I only want people inside WTFunnel?!? who I can genuinely help.

So, WTFunnel?!? is probably not for you if:

  • You want to change your core offer every time it doesn’t sell immediately.
  • You want to sell 100 little things with no bigger offer waiting at the end.
  • You want passive income in the “build it once and never look at it again” sense.
  • You expect instant or guaranteed sales.
  • You resist feedback, testing, or looking at the data.
  • You won’t make time to bring your questions, look at your numbers, and do the work.

I am going to ask you to let enough people move through your funnel before we make fundamental decisions about it.

I am going to ask you to test one variable at a time so we can tell what actually made a difference.

I am going to help you refine your core offer without throwing it in the bin every time the internet hands you a shiny new idea.

That might sound slow if you’ve been taught that one viral Reel, one email, or one $17 product should make you rich by next Tuesday.

But my happiest clients, and the clients who have sold the most, have all had one thing in common:

They had a fundamental core offer, and we built everything else around selling it.

That is who WTFunnel?!? is for.

You might arrive with an incredible offer and a freebie that currently has absolutely no relationship to it. We can build the path between them.

You might have an offer and send weekly emails, but people still aren’t buying. We can figure out which systems are missing.

You might even have a brand-new offer that has never sold. You can bring that too, as long as you’re willing to commit to testing, refining, and letting enough people see it before deciding it doesn’t work.

WTFunnel?!? is for people who want to build a big, beautiful funnel ecosystem where every piece has a purpose and every path leads somewhere.

It’s for people who are tired of duct-taping their marketing together and want the foundational pieces to finally work as a system.

It’s for people who will bring the questions, bring the data, make time for the work, and let data drive the next decision.

If you read the first half of this email and thought, “She’s talking about me,” maybe you’re still in your experimenting era. That’s totes ok!

And if you read the second half and thought, “Oh thank God, someone is finally going to stop me from building another random offer,” I built WTFunnel?!? for you.

$297/month or $797 for 3 months. Doors close October 1st and our first call is October 6th.

P.S. If you want someone to take the strategy, copy, and build completely off your plate, I do that too. Funnel-in-a-Week is my done-for-you offer. WTFunnel?!? is hands-on mentorship for people who want to understand and build their funnel with expert support.

Email Funnels for Service Providers Who Give a Damn

Read more from Jenn Green

Your funnel is not one opt-in, five emails, and a sales page you built during a caffeine-fuelled weekend in 2022. Your funnel is an ecosystem. And one neglected piece can f*ck with the whole thing. So, do you have all of the pieces? Visibility Marketing Your future clients need a way to find you. Social media, collaborations, podcasts, PR, ads, SEO, and the thirty-seven other ways you could get eyes on your business all feed people into your funnel. But visibility without somewhere strategic...

I have rewritten one sentence on the WTFunnel?!? sales page approximately 900 times: For service providers who want their funnels to sell more. Every time I wrote it, I deleted it. All of those damn copy coaches and messaging coaches told me it was too generic. Too simple. I needed a sharper angle or a more specific promise. Something that sounded like I had locked myself in a room with a whiteboard and invented a proprietary method™. But I kept coming back to the same sentence because it’s...

I have an enemies list. Okay, fine. It has one actual person on it. His name is Mike Thorne, and he was my grade seven boyfriend who stole my wallet. It was a leather wallet with a horse burned into the front. I got it on vacation with my parents. It had a whole $5 in it. I asked him if he took it, and he said no. A week later he broke up with me. Later, his friend revealed that Mike stole the wallet specifically to psychologically destroy me. It worked, Mike. It worked. The enemies I want to...
