WTFunnel is going on with your emails?! 📊

Raise your hand if you’ve ever wanted to break up with email marketing

You spend hours writing emails, hit send, and…
Crickets.

No clicks. No sales. Just your dog judging you from the corner for swearing to yourself.

You start thinking, “Maybe email isn’t for me.” But here’s the truth: It’s not your fault.

It’s just that no one’s ever shown you how to know what’s working—and what’s not—so you can fix it.

The “WTFunnel” Checklist

Here’s how to figure out where your emails need some TLC (and how to fix it):

1️⃣ Are Your Subject Lines Pulling Their Weight?
Open rates below 30% mean your subject lines aren’t doing the job.

Solution: Use curiosity, humor, or FOMO to hook your readers. Think: “What I wish someone told me before [big lesson here]” or “You won’t believe this email stat.”

2️⃣ Are Your Calls-to-Action Crystal Clear?
Click rates under 2-3%? Your readers aren’t taking action because they don’t know what to do.

Solution: Be direct. Use ONE call-to-action. And make it irresistible: “Click here to steal my [amazing freebie].”

3️⃣ Are Your Emails Leading to Sales?
If less than 20% of people who click aren’t buying, your sales page needs a glow-up.

Solution: Tighten up your sales page. Focus on benefits. And make sure it screams, “This is THE thing you’ve been waiting for!”

Want more checkpoints for your funnel?

One of my clients was in the exact same boat.

She was ready to call it quits on email marketing because it just wasn’t “working.”

Instead, I did a deep dive audit into her subject lines, CTAs, and sales page—and guess what? With some tweaks, her evergreen sales doubled.

She didn’t grow her list. She didn’t spend hours writing emails. I just optimized what she already had.

And now? She’s got a system that works for her—without the stress. 💸

Just know, you don't have to throw out the funnel with the bathwater. Look at your numbers and make small changes (the WTFunnel!?! freebie can help you out with that 😉).

But for now, can you help an email marketing girly out? I would love to know where you are with your email marketing. Are you hoping to grow your list? Do you want to get started with automations and nurture your audience? Are you hoping to grow your revenue with better sales emails?

Vote below to help me build out my upcoming email marketing courses that you will be itching to get your hands on.

Jenn and her husband kissing in Cuba, two weeks after they left their long-term partners for each other.

I had a crush on my husband, and he didn't even know I existed... Spoiler Alert: Us in 2008 in Cuba, two weeks after we left our long-term partners for each other In my first year of University, I had a crush on my husband in the way only a 17-year-old girl can. I had moved from a very small town in New Brunswick and had just moved to the big city of Toronto for my major. He was in fourth year of the same program. We were a really small group (only 16 people were admitted every year). He had...

The greatest showman, my 10-year-old son.

Picture The Greatest Showman ...but it's my 10-year-old son... My kiddo used to walk right up to strangers on the sidewalk and say, 'Hi! My name is Sully! What's your favourite hot sauce?!' This is just a prime example of how he was never the shy kid. He makes friends wherever he goes. Easily. But, admittedly, his anxiety has been ramping up over the past year or so and we've noticed a shift in him. He is more hesitant to participate and much more cautious. He expresses how nervous he is and...

The year I heal my rejection sensitivity

Rejection SUCKS Rejection? Not exactly my strong suit.Which is hilarious considering I spent almost 20 years as an actress. 🙃 I’m super sensitive.Every “No” feels personal, like a spotlight shining on all the ways I could’ve been better.Sound familiar? But here’s the big, obvious realization I had last year:Being afraid is keeping me small.I’ve been so scared of rejection that I’ve stayed comfy on the sidelines, resting on my laurels instead of putting myself out there. So, I’m flipping the...
