🔥 The $15K mistake I’ll never make again

I remember the moment I finally hired a marketing agency to help me build my funnel.

I was excited (because FINALLY, someone else was going to take something off my plate).

I was nervous (because hiring is an investment, and everyone had been telling me to do it for ages).

But mostly, I was relieved.

This was a multi-million dollar agency. They had years of experience and glowing testimonials. They knew what they were doing… right?

Yeah. About that...

Pretty early on, I started seeing red flags.

  • The tech wasn’t set up properly.
  • They sent me the wrong webinar copy. (Like, an entirely different topic.) Twice!
  • They uploaded my ad…with a bad aspect ratio so no one could read it.
  • They “forgot” to put a budget on my ads, and I got hit with a $1,700 charge in one weekend.
  • The person running my account was overwhelmed, missing deadlines, and then my ads manager quit—without anyone telling me...

Oh, and when I finally complained? The agency owner swore things would get better and to please hang on for another month.

When things didn't change (in fact, they only got worse), she ghosted me.

And I did something I have NEVER done in my entire life...I asked for a refund.

They agreed but then… never sent it.

When I followed up weeks later, they claimed it was already done. And then—magically, five minutes later—the refund appeared on my card.

No ownership. No apology. No accountability.

And after $15,000 lost, do you know what I walked away with?

Nothing.

Ok. Maybe some business debt...

I had to cancel my launch entirely.

đź’€ My business lost money.
đź’€ I lost months of momentum.
đź’€ I lost trust in the people I had hired to help me.

And I decided: NEVER AGAIN.

I would always know what was happening in my own marketing.
I would never FULLY hand over control without knowing the strategy myself.

Because here’s the thing: If I hadn’t been a funnel strategist myself, I wouldn’t have even known they were screwing up.

And that? That’s why I created Make More Money with Emails.

Not because I think you need to do everything yourself forever.

But because if you do hire help in the future, you should know exactly what’s going on.

What emails you are sending (and why).
What’s working (and what’s not).
What needs tweaking (and how to fix it).

No getting ghosted. No wasting money. No “I don’t really know what my marketing team is doing, but I hope it’s working.”

You’ll be the one in control.

Because when you know exactly how your email marketing works, you can tweak it, scale it, or hand it off to a team—without ever feeling out of the loop.

And you’ll never have to wake up to a $1,700 mistake you didn’t even know was happening.

So I am taking all my funnel knowledge, all of my copywriting skills, and all of my good times energy and putting into Make More Money with Emails.

Doors open April 14th, and if you are on the waitlist, you not only get $500 off the $1497 price tag, you get a 30 minute strategy session 1:1 with yours truly.

What changes when you’re not building alone Funnel friend, There’s a version of business growth people talk about loudly. Metrics. Milestones. Strategy shifts. Big moves. And then there’s the quieter part that almost never gets named. The part where someone is simply not alone while they build. I’ve seen this up close more times than I can count, and it never looks dramatic from the outside. There’s no big reveal moment. No overnight transformation. What changes is subtler than that, and way...

Funnel friend, There’s a stage of business that sneaks up on you. It’s the post-DIY, pre-hand-it-all-over stage. The one where you’ve proven you can build something real…but you feel like maybe you've hit a plateau. Nothing is technically “broken.”But nothing feels easy anymore, either. Early on, hustle does most of the heavy lifting. You try things. You learn fast. You move. But once your business is more complex, hustle stops being the lever. A second brain becomes the lever. Because this is...

The Year of Slow Exposure Last year, my word of the year was 'Ease'. And I don’t mean 'ease' in a Pinterest-y, bubble bath, “romanticize your life” kind of way. I mean 'ease' as a filter. A rule. A boundary I desperately needed. Every decision ran through the same question. What’s the easiest choice? What apartment should we live in in Playa? What school should our son go to?Do we do the extracurricular or not?Where do we eat tonight? What shoes am I wearing today? Not what’s the best...
